Per-Image Shoot

A performance-based pricing model where brands pay only for final, high-quality deliverables, ensuring budget transparency and content scalability.

A Per-Image Shoot is a transparent pricing model where the total cost is determined by the number of final, retouched assets delivered, rather than traditional day rates or hourly fees. This model is a cornerstone of JU Productions’ high-efficiency services, such as Catalog photography and our proprietary Scheduled Lookbook®.

By utilizing this model, global brands can ship products to our specialized hubs in Singapore, the USA, and China, benefiting from a predictable cost-per-SKU structure. It is designed for high-volume e-commerce and retail environments where consistency and scalability are paramount. This approach aligns production costs directly with output, allowing brands to manage inventory launches with surgical financial precision.

Why It Matters

The per-image model shifts the risk of production delays from the brand to the production house. It allows retail brands to calculate an exact Creative ROI per SKU, making it easier to forecast marketing budgets and maintain healthy margins during large-scale seasonal content refreshes.

Examples

1. A footwear brand shipping 500 SKUs to our Singapore hub for a standard 4-angle white-background catalog shoot at a fixed cost per asset. 2. A fashion label using our Scheduled Lookbook® service to receive 20 editorial-style shots per month at a locked-in rate for their digital storefront.

How to Apply

Identify high-volume needs where the output style is repeatable. Provide JU Productions with the total SKU count and required angles per product. Our team will then provide a flat per-image rate that includes studio time, photography, and post-production, regardless of how long the physical shoot takes.

Common Mistakes

The most common mistake is failing to define the complexity of styling. For example, 'flat lay' and 'ghost mannequin' require different labor intensities; assuming one per-image rate covers all styling types can lead to budget discrepancies.

Pro Tip

To maximize the value of a per-image model, develop a highly detailed 'Style Guide' and 'Technical Specification' document. By standardizing lighting, angles, and retouching levels upfront, you ensure that the per-image rate covers 100% of your needs without incurring 'additional edit' fees or scope creep.
